I think it would a lot of fun to have an Evo meet at a drag strip of any 1/4 mile. Only problem with me Im on call at work and very hard taking off work, Im a Building Engineer over 2 high rises in Atlanta. We do have the Atlanta National drag strip that I could do in Commerce GA. I would like to see what this stock 111 will do. This post was all in fun and no harm meant and not bashing anyone, just good clean all American brotherhood.
Fully understood.. I think we could post pinks and maybe even have some one video your run for those nay says... Would be a cool thing to do though.. and we could do it at our leisure... I as well would love to know what my Evo is capable of.... Maybe even start a new thread... "PINKS"
All this purse swinging because a guy is excited about his bike being faster than a stock Harley? That list includes just about everyone except another guy on a stock Harley.
I agree, My point was The stock M8, 117 CID has more valves & plugs & fuel injection & more cubes & state of the art technology Plus I dont know if he had extra mods. My 22 yr old Evo has Evo technology with a stock 111 engine. Pretty sure that has interest in the Evo world without a doubt. Now if I get smoked by a built 80 inch they well deserve the win.

Now we have gone from time slips to pink slips???
Yeowza...

Thats a great idea. Even a 1/8 mile run would do. 1/8 mile is 660 ft. 1/4 mile is 1320 ft and I thing the new tracks are 1000 ft.. 1000 ft ought do it for a quick HD.

I agree.. not like we're running turbos... Lol.. I will need to find the closest drag strip.. we don't have one on Long Island anymore. To many cries.......
Atl national strip can be ran for $20. Need leather jacket and pants and full face approved helmet. Pretty sure anything over 120 mph they want a race lic. Ill just tell them it wont do 120.
Interesting... Not sure if 120 will be a issue or not... Won't know till I try it... I was talking with Johnjz and he tells me he's going upstate in May to Lebanon Valley Race way. Lebanon NY... He's not exactly sure if it's that track or not but will let me know for sure... If I can get my motor back together by then I told him that I would be trailering it up... 4 1/2 hours away..

An 1/8 is gonna tell us Volumes about rider skill... But, the 1/4 [NHRA runs 1000ft for really fast stuff] 1/4 tells the Horsepower tale...even if not the quickest..If we know the MPH...we know the Target E.T.

Here's an example of poor/slow rider skill. I stopped by the Baker event at the Sturgis dragway this past August. I didn't warm up my tires with a burn-out. What's the point? I was on my bagger (2011 Ultra, 96 ci, Screamin' Eagle Air Cleaner, otherwise stock, 125,000+ miles), and my saddle bags and tour-pak were filled with my camping gear. Only did 3-passes since I didn't think I was going to get much faster and I was concerned about the potential of breaking something when I had plans to be at certain places during my trip. Lot's of fun!
^^^ Not very aggressive certainly... But... at least ya did it!!!!
I thank you for that... Bert also is a Personal Friend of mine... even if he is a hot mess sometimes!!!!
You got the point... higher MPH is HP... E.T. that seems slow for the MPH is Skill... Ya got pretty good HP there... and I do Not blame ya for not wanting to tear **** up...
You learned what you was after...tho, a 1/4 would be much more accurate... especially with street gearing...You should be pushing a ton with that bike in the 1/4 I would Think...which is a very cool experience... because you can tell when ya bust a Buck in the 1/4... next "feeling" is at about a Buck and a Quarter... for me anyway... after that... well it varies.
