The only thing I might change, would be going to polished stainless steel spokes up front only.
Landmark Mfg. makes these in their "Diamond" pattern. They "flash" about 65% more than straight spokes. They look awesome on a 21" hoop too.
I've had them for decades in the front wheel of my FXWG.
Soon it will be the stick look, rather than copped that ppl will look for on a used bike.
aunless you still have the OEM’s neatly stashed away.
athat said. If you like fat spoke?
Than you gotta get rid of the shiny. Get apes and a black thunder header and drop the back end 2”
Never been a fan of spokes. They look good on other bikes but the FXR isn't a classic machine, it's a practical machine. Thunderstars are sexy and practical. They are my favorite, easy to clean as well.
They came on CVO FXRs. Ebay has them pop up once and a while, they are not very common. The chrome on many are flaky.
These would look real good ...60 spoke stainless ...keeping the spoke look ....but filling the gap of the 40 ...and not quite as busy as the 80 ...plus with the stainless spokes cleaning is a breeze !!! ...and when you call you can get the pair ...
sealed for tubeless ...21X 2.15-60 and the rear 16 x 3-60 ...no more tubes ...!!!
been running a set on my 05 RK and a front (these are all 18 x 3.5 )on my wifes Deluxe ..for 10+ years now and no leaks ....ez to keep up and no more of that cadmium plating ugly **** ...soap and water and the dirt slides off ...no rusting ...(using only WD-40 when changing tires ..as we all know ...soap and water will rot the inside of the rims ..!!) DNA wheels .... https://www.ebay.com/itm/21X2-15-60-...MAAOSwlQ5bV2tt
just some food for thought ..!!!
good luck ..!!!

Very nice. TBH, I didn't even know there were diff spoke quantities until recently. Stainless sounds like the way to go for maintenance too! I've half-assed talked myself out of the mod, idk.... Lol
