Mine is hard mounted from the factory.
Never had a problem with it.

My `89 Softail has been shaking for 30 years, and still has the original starter relay...

Hey I like that button switch. I have been thinking about adding a horn button on my stock switch housing that I can reach and use my finger instead of my thumb. Seems like it would work if the button was small enough.
