For an 80 in motor????
No way man.
There must be something else going on here but I'm not sure what.
Hey Mike, I'm just basing it on the way his symptoms sounds sort of like when you got a carburetor that's running like s*** and you put your hand over the Venturi and it picks up r idle a little it means you're not getting enough fuel same basic thing here is going on. I would leave the intermediate at 29 but like I said I don't even think this guy knows what he has in his motor that's why I'm saying to go up, won't hurt anything.
Spray carb cleaner around the manifold seals yet to chrck for air leaks?
I ordered a new mounting hardware kit for the S&S from JP last night. The backing plate is butted up against the breather bolts. The guy didn't use the right kit for the bike and it is not sitting properly and has a bunch of fuel lines for the oil lines. Gonna get that sorted out and give everything a thorough clean. Also ordered the high range jet kit and will throw a 76 main on to see if that works.
With a 76 main should the intermediate stay at 295 or should I throw a bigger one on?
It all depends on how it accelerates up to roughly up too 2800 RPM. Usually a 31/76 is a common setup..
It's a tad gutless down low. I thought it was the 2-1 exhaust. Should have the 76 in hand this week. Will throw the 31 intermediate on and give it a shot. Thanks
