Going back to the subject of stock parts, one thing to consider is making it look stock, which fitting a stock air filter cover would certainly achieve, while still enjoying the benefit of the cam and carb. Back in the day (I bought my 1990 Glide new), simply changing the airbox for a 'normal' air filter, using the stock cover, was what many of us did. Different styles of air filter (except an S&S one, of course) is a twinky thang!
