Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a crash bar for a 86 fxstc? Been looking around but don't see much available out there. Any help will be appreciated. Here's some pictures of the bike, because I know you guys like pics. Thanks
I found some in Mid-Usa and Drag Specialties.
Here's the one from Drag Specialties http://asset.lemansnet.com/static/si...ok/#?page=1086
It's the classic look but there are others out there that are designed differently.
If you don't have an Indy or Dealership in your area you can call Antler Creek Cycle Leathers and Geoff will help you find what you want and ship it to you.
Btw, that picture is not of me. It was taken at Dan's Cycle in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Bill has been there almost 50 years since first apprenticing with Dan and is close to 70. Looks great.
Ok, so, that's the other thing I was wondering about. A rear guard. Do you guys recommend a front and rear to help protect the bike? If so, any matching sets out there? Thanks
OK I see what you mean. Engine guard. Its a totally different mindset if you only ride Harleys. I have an adventure bike as well and for them, manufacturers actually sell them as "crash bars". Just put really nice sw motech bars and a skid plate on my Kawasaki. Of course, dropping the bike on a trail is much different and more common.
