That is exactly what I got. The 97-98 have the new frames of the era and are the last of the Evos. You will have the simplest Road King ever made.
I do not care to have the newer bikes, the M8 has zero appeal to me. The Evo techincal forum is filled with advice on how to update this old bike if you're willing to spend a little money and do the work.
If you're a do it yourself guy, the perfect bike, you can keep this running forever.
Bought a 97 RK 15 years ago that looked just like yours, still trying to decide if I like it or not, may take 20 more years to figure it out.
obviously there is something about it otherwise it would have been going long ago... Sometimes I wish I bought a road King instead of a fat boy.. I know a guy that's got a 94 first year road King and man they were just ****ing awesome...
