I have a ‘97 with some work done to it and I notice I’m spewing a nice amount of oil through the breather and into the carb (S&S Super E) Just looking for some input on best option to just release it into the atmosphere and do I need to plug the hole in the carb where the engine breathes into.
I've used 2, 24" x 3/8" stainless braided plumbing connectors for a sink and cut them to length to breath out the bottom just under the frame.. I'll dig up a pic and post later... They work great and look good.... Yeehaw...
And yes plug the port on the back of the airhorn..
this is the best pic I have..

How I've routed both of mine is put a short piece of hose from each head to a T fitting that is over the carb.
The take a long hose from that T junction and go up to the frame then forward to the down tubes, down the down tubes and finally follow the frame and have it vent next to the swing arm.
Unless you know to look for it the hose is practically invisible to the casual observer.

Thanks, this is pretty much what I had in mind, what did you use to plug the carb.
I had the lines going to a filter just under the aircleaner. Recently when I replaced my intake gaskets I installed the vented breather bolts and dropped the oil level.
No leaks yet, so it'll stay until it does.

Did same exact system and route. But they end at the bottom
of the left front rail.
