Is 50k on a 01 RK okay? Lol

Also, my main question is, should a guy with over average mech ability be able to change out lower fork legs on a RK? Thanx, be honest, but kind, lmao....

If you've got a long shank 6mm allen socket and a rattle gun you should do fine.

THC, your right I can still ride, and it's not like a FatBoy was at the top of any list, just nice scooter, and hate I missed it. Would have been a good ride for next Texas EVO meet, if I get over being scared of a little rain.

It's not really that bad of a job. I just pulled mine down to install strut cartridges and replace the seals.

If you don't have the seal driver you can use the old seal to drive in the new one.
