Default Fatboy price

Came across a 1997 Fatboy, pretty much bone stock with 40,000 miles, asking $7,400. I am just looking for a second bike to put my girl on the back of and something with a bigger tank. Is there anything I should know about this model year?

Nice reliable EVO with low miles at a good price assuming it is in good working order and taken care of. Go for it.

Personally think is a little high for a 12 year old Bike with that kind of mileage however not seeing it and knowing how was cared for might be worth it ... Your Call ...

I recently bought a 1997 Fatboy with 43K on it for 6.5K. I love it. I had it looked at from head to toe and had to replace my rear wheel due to damage caused by bad seals and sandy grit getting inside the housing. Other than that so far everything has been small stuff. I do get some blow back after an oil change. More of a nusance though.

Harley did small things to improve the evo over the years. AFAIK, that would have most all of them. I'd do it if it's really clean and everything works great.

Offer six and go no higher than sixty-five. Early TC's are now in the sevens to eights.

if you ask me there is no need to buy anything lesser than a twincam 88...
you can get a 2000 fatboy for $1000 more.

and with the twincam you have options....
