Hey friends - I'm looking at a 90 Fatboy, Canadian bike, low kms. I don't know squat about the 80" Evo. What should I be paying attention to on this 21 year-old bike? It is in overall very clean condition and was obviously well taken care of.
Very first year of the FatBoy IIRC. Those motors (I have owned my 1990 bike from new) did have a few issues, silly things that went wrong, but all easily fixed and probably sorted long ago. Spanners is right, no reason not to buy it!

Many thanks in advance.
If it's in all original condition, with the yellow bands and stripes on some covers and still painted silver it would be worth picking up, for the right price. Just for the fact that it is the first year of the Fatboy and could possibly be collectable some day. For that year EVO, there were some lifter and cam bearing issues over the years. (MY 92 for one of them) Any pictures?

I've been a fan of the bike for years....this one is stocky stock. Orig everything, 12000km, $13,000. I figure they're looking for a premium due to the collectible thing....a 90 Softail might go for around $10,000 in this area. I'm just not sure if I would want this to be a daily rider, cause it would be. Pic attached.
Yeah, $13K is high even here in AK for a 90's era softail. I totally know what you mean about not wanting to daily ride it, expecially since it is all original. My 92 has been far from stock for years so I ride it in ALL weather up here. Or at least I did till a lifter went out last summer and took out the cam.......
You could always offer 10Kish and see what they say?
