Default Coil question

1986 wide glide, does it make a difference if the top goes to the front plug or rear plug? However my service manual does not say but for the other years listed it does state top connection to front plug. I have tried both ways at idle and seems to be the same.
My exhaust pattern seems to have changed in a way that the front seems to fire 2 times for every1 fire from the rear exhaust.

Sounds like you only paid for one half of a single fire ignition.

If you are still running a stock coil then no it doesn't make any difference where you plug in the plug wires.

No ideas from anyone about the exhaust note pattern? What could cause it? Swapped plug connection on coil and the sound did not change cylinder.

Are you still running the stock (original) carburetor? I'm asking because they're a totally different setup than most guys on here are using and have a different set of variables (concerning issues). Does it occasionally backfire or spit thru the carb?

Is it just a sound problem or is your engine not running right?

Mostly a sound thing, it just seemed to change, so that makes the paranoia set in.
