Default It’s a shame.

Does anyone ride their bikes anymore or do they just trailer them wherever they want to go? Just got back from a quick trip to Sturgis and you would have thought it was a trailer and rv rally. It really is getting a bit ridiculous. Hell, I even seen a few guys pulling their bikes through the hills and stopping at pull over spots. I know non of this is new and has been talked about before but it really seems to be getting far worse. The Rally wouldn’t even be that crowded if all the rv’s weren’t clogging everything up.

It has been like that for at least 40 years, get used to it...

We don`t need another real biker thread.

Thats really not not what I was saying. I’m far from a real biker. I farm and ranch and don’t get near the time I would like to go ride. I just don’t get the point of owning a touring bike and then pulling it behind a pickup on a trailer wherever I go. I was at the 50th rally. I can guarantee there were way more people that rode there vs today.

I’m with ya...though when I wrecked my Triumph Rocket 3 Touring I had to go rent a trailer to haul it home....I realized there might be occasions when you got to do it even if you are heading to a function such as Sturgis. Like you missed a chance on a hotel room so you pack up your rv and bike follows on trailer....but I’d still be miserable about it just like I was miserable about loosing my Rocket.

I'm not riding mine next year, I'm having it shipped from Florida. It would take me 4 days to get there and another 4 to get home, I'm gonna spend my time out there as much as possible enjoying that part of the country and not spend it on interstates. Now if you live within 5 hrs away, I totally agree with you....

Hey, I was at the 50th. Did you see me? I was on the black dresser, with chrome. I was wearing a black T shirt that said "Harley Davidson" on it somewhere and had blue jeans and engineer boots on.

That’s definitely a haul. 2000 miles. The riding in the hills is good, but other than that probably not much different than Daytona. I would like to go to Daytona or Laconia, but can’t take that much time right now. Maybe once I’m semi retired.
