Yep - left Cattle-tracks MI in 1959 - hello USAF - and just visit once a year now. Retired in 1998 over Palm Springs way in a cooler mountain
pass area. Yep, I got fans and coolers on my bagger but it beats No. MI snow.
I'm 25 miles from PS - high was 97 on Tuesday. Carlsbad ?? You have some of the best weather day-in, day-out in the
entire USA. Loved the motocross and drag strip tracks when they were still there - horsepower air all the time.
I need some work on the front wheel of my 89 FXSTC and no one does truing in my area. I'm considering sending the wheel to Buchanan in California, does anybody have any experience with them? http://www.buchananspokes.com/categories/index.asp
Used them, can't go wrong with any of their products or services, they'll even do custom setups to order or they did at one time. Lacing a wheel is one mechanical talent I do not have.
Check around the local dirt bike shops, yet to see one that didn't do wheels.
They built my wheels up with a Ness billet hub and Rk Excell rim with their polished SS spokes. Been great for over 50K, never a loose spoke or any other issue. Buchanan's are the ****.
