Take that Clymer manual and throw it away. Get the Factory service and parts books and use them. Once you get them, find the correct wiring diagram for your particular bike. There will be several in the book. Now take that diagram to a copy shop and make a copy that is blown way up. Paste it to a big piece of cardboard or plastic or something and it will be a handy reference when working any type of electrical issue.
