S&S 4 5/8 crank, stock bore, S&S(only make cast)or Sportster pistons both in flat tops, 72 cc chambers with port clean up, .030 head gaskets comes up at 10.0-1 to 10.2 compression. W6H is a good cam for it, no compression releases needed and a sleeper until it's time not to be, the 89" with a S&S crank IS a great engine that will last.
Said this many time before, that when a third does comes to take up what space is left in the bike shed. That it will be a sporty. And that sounds like a nice kit for it.
Doubt the sporty will ever resemble any sleeper of sort tho.
I already have one of those
Ok, then why would you take a mildly built dependable bigger cube engine that was designed for higher power output,
and replace it with smaller cubes that wasn't designed for big torque, and modify it to increase cubes & compression to make more power?
That 111 is no where near built to the design limits.
Maybe you just want the oem engine back in, or your bored and want to wrench on something,
"too much power" ain't it, sorry, but BS meter pegged on that one, now if it's monetary, that would make more sense.
120/110 tq/hp @ 9.8-1 cr , is a touring friendly or bike night fun, sweet combo in my book.
If you've ever had to add power to get out of a moss covered low water crossing to go up the hill on the other side you would understand what I mean by too much power.
The one thing that 111 excels at is putting power to the road but it ain't real gentle about it.

"streetable" sounds like what your searching for.
Those big expensive engines are cool but are beyond what I want to spend on a bike. For some reason I find it more interesting to get the most from what you got on a budget than going AMEX Black for solutions.

I must be old, What is AMEX black?? Also my investment is a lot less than buying new and much faster.... Yet I have a NEW 97 classic, without all the boondoggle electronics.
