I hear this thread chaser crap on here a lot...I totally disagree...I have been working in maintenance for 35+ years,and never used them...and deal with stripped/ broken bolts almost daily

If your threads are so far gone that running a tap through them will finish them off...ain't no thread chaser gonna fix them...period...

If you want to chase threads...take a bolt and cut three slots in it longways with a cut-off wheel...

90% of the "chasers" out there are cheap Chinese crap...never seen a quality set...

Only 35 years? ... so you're new to this? ... My taps, dies and chasers are ( for the most part ) are older than that ... Long before China entered the market :>)

I did it to clean out any debris and thread lock crap prior washing it out with carb cleaner to get ready for new Loc-Tite.
