I have one of those sitting on the shelf. Got it in a trade 30 years ago but never put it on a bike.

Those are sometimes being highly modified to actually Function on ...again... highly modified DragBikes
I never could prove it was an Improvement...so... quit trying...

Note; I had what we called the Trock X-head, setup on an Ironhead Dragbike...quite some time ago... We ran dual 44mm Mikuni roundslides on it..
Could Not prove this was better than the original [flowed] intake manifold, with a Bored and Thunderjetted "G"
and the 1/4 turn throttle on them 2, 44's with a Splitter took one Heck of a Wrist...and some bit of hand strength to Whack and Hold them Puppies...
Idea Abandoned... But it sure did look "the ****"

I would expect twice more fuel and air. Why is that bad?

Over carbing a motor makes it sluggish. The motor can only flow so much air. As long as you've got enough carb to supply each (approx) 13 units of air with a unit of fuel, you've got enough carb.

Yep. You end up losing velocity with too much carburetor.

Somebody will chime in and tell me I am wrong, but I think I remember that when I was messing with that stuff more in the 90’s.

But with a built up motor for race purpose built bikes, this might prove useful? That was what I meant originally
Yeah, I’m sure some like ti build race bikes to ride on the streets. I’ve done it. But then I was young and insane
Now I’m just old and busy paying bills
