I have tried at three different H-D dealerships trying to find side plates and backrest for my 1995 Fxds, they have all told me there is no listing for the 1995 model. Can anyone tell me if other model plates will fit my bike?
You can use the parts fiche and catalog linked below to find the proper description and part numbers for what you are looking for. Then you can check Google, eBay, the classified section of this site, etc. to find your parts. It may be a waiting game if you are looking for original parts but with patience, they eventually show up.
Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. The reason parts for your bike are not listed is simply because Harley no longer makes spares for our older parts. There may be aftermarket alternatives available. Alternatively any of your local dealers should be able to check to see if other dealers have old stock, especially if you can give them part number(s) for those side plates, etc - which brings us to mmesa005's suggestion above.

Side plates were basically the same for '91-'95. If you can find a 1996 accessory catalog, all options should be listed.
