Primary drain plug
Which size of allen key should be used for removing the primary drain plug?
I've tried 7/32, 3/16, 5/32 and 5 and 4 mm and none of them work...
I'd lean more to the T35.

This is the infamous #739A drain plug. It's used for both the tranny drain and the primary drain on most Big Twins, and it's been through a couple of changes over the years. The early plug has an Allen head, and frankly, the magnetic tip had a tendency to come loose, sometimes falling into the motor. Second, the plug is a fine thread going into aluminum, therefore, a prime candidate for getting stuck in its hole or stripping out. It's a fine plan to have at least one new one of these on hand during fluid changes. The latest version is a Torx head, with a secure magnet and Teflon on the threads so finger tight and half a twist will keep it secure and hassle free.
3/16" Allen wrench for early model drain plugs
T-40 Torx wrench, for late model drain plugs
FYI: According to the notes in my shop manual, it's a T-40.
But, then there is this information:
The plug part number is 739A which is used on a shitload of primarys.
(All the EVO ones I looked at) and it is actually a T-30 Torx head.
Don't get me wrong you can easily take it out with an allen but it is actually a torx.

But that one seem to have been a T40.
