I’d be more concerned about how much oil drained down into the engine cases,
but with plugs removed, you can put them back in the boots and lay them on metal where ever is convenient.

There is a big slotted cap looking thing at the top of the oil pump. When you unscrew it there is a ball and spring underneath. You can put a little oil in there to prime the pump.

At what colder ambient temps like 45* and below?, should we avoid bumping/ starting a motor?

Pretty sure if you remove that plug on a Softail with oil in the tank, you gonna have a mess to clean up.

That personally is what I would do. I have lost count of all the rebuilds I have done and I have yet to not see or fill an oil film on engines I have pulled apart.

Nah, should already be oil in there. It's the check from the bag into the oil pump. You won't get much if any oil in there. Just start the bike.

Warm cuddley fillings is what it's all about. Remember when high startup RPM FI motors came on the seen. Everyone just knew they could not last doing that.

How long will the bike stand before starting?

Dan and RIPSAW have what I was going to write.

Remember when high startup RPM FI motors came on the seen?
There's a table for that so can be altered if you don't like it. I think however you were being sarcastic?
