Default Race Tech Springs Only

Just got my new Race Tech 1.0 springs for my 1990FLHS. Have read the instructions regarding spacer length, and will probably read it a couple more times before I cut the spacers. I'm doing springs only, no emulators or intimators for now. I weigh about 205 and know that ultimately I'll be targeting sag. Just curious if anyone has done RT springs (without emulators or intiminators) and remembers what they ended up with for spacer length. The FLHS is effectively the forerunner of the Road King if you're not familiar.

Thanks.

Frank

I've used Race Tech springs in my 1990 FLHS. Don't recall what length of spacer tube I used, its quite some time ago, but surely that is in the instructions? Do use a proper pipe cutter, not a hacksaw, unless you have a lathe to turn the ends truly square. If you mess up, that tube is simply thick-walled water pipe, so should be available from a plumbing supplier. I live in the UK and was able to buy it over here.

Didn't realize UK doesn't have indoor plumbing? gotta be cold running to the house in the winter.

Fluids in the single rate spring is also all over the place kinda like engine oil, did a lot research on the fluids being used and simple ATF came up majority, had several quarts of synthetic ATF on the shelf and used that seeming to work out well. Can't help on the spacer length due the springs was lowering springs.

Ho Ho! I've no idea what it is used for, either here or across the pond, I simply used the US spec to search on line and bingo! It's darned strong stuff, about 1/8" wall thickness?
