Vtwin while import tends to be on the higher end of things quality & fit wise, most restore guys if they aren't going OEM exclusively uses Teds stuff.

J&P is just a bulk dropshipper they source from where ever, their name isn't on anything except the box.

Good find. I didn't think to cross reference with road king or dyna part numbers.

My speedo is cracked from me taking it apart to get rid of a dead bug that was stuck inside.

Good to know. Hopefully it is on par with the OEM part.

The speedometer my only solution was to find a 99 speedometer and get the wiring harness to convert it from terminal to 12 pin. I have the parts but the speedo is 10k miles higher than my original.

The headlight I bought a JP cycles "OEM" replacement but the bucket is not the same and it uses a proprietary clipped in halogen bulb and won't accept trim ring or bulb from original housing. Original headlight was dented at the back.

Could use a hand here trying to pin these parts down.
Ebay has lots of older stuff, NOS. You have to be patient and keep looking but usually over time, you can find almost anything you want. And look at the photos closely, sometimes people put part numbers on things that don't match the description.

Those parts are for a dyna. The speedo is a 12 pin and the headlight doesn't look correct. Adjuster is wrong for the year and base looks too narrow.

Doesn't that speedo kit come with a harness to go from duetch to later style connectors?

Yeah it will require a harness. I have a speedo from a 99 and harness. The OCD in me was just trying to find the correct speedo for the year bike. My speedo just says Harley Davidson Motorcycles along three bottom. In 99 and up the speedo says Certified Harley Davidson. I wonder if the dealer could add miles to a new speedo though.

Yeah, I didn't know. That's why I said be patient. Search by part number but verify with photos. Good luck in your hunt...
