I was trying to put chrome accent strips on my upper fork tin where the headlight is. There is 2 bolts on each side. Well trying to put one on I snapped the head off the bolt and now half is stuck inside .. I've tried using an extractor but no luck and looks worse. Does anyone know what part those fork tin covers bolt to, is it the triple tree brackets or no?
Is it the upper or lower you tree? And do you mean you drilled it and tried an easy out? I would try a left hand drill bit first.. I think you can go to a 3/16" bit on a 1/4x20 bolt..
If you are willing to take the tree off, take it off and bring it to your local machine shop. They will give you a hard time, tell you it was the worst they have ever seen, but they will extract the bolt and probably only charge you $25, good luck.

It's the lower.. and it's super bad. Im better off just buying a used one and replacing it. I mean I can let it go.. I'll just be missing a bottom bolt on my tin. And that will drive me crazy.
I think everyone has snapped bolts at one time or another, squirt some penetrating fluid and let soak for a day or so keeping it wet. Then try to take it out, if it doesn't move a little heat sometimes helps. I soak most bolts on my 90 if I think they haven't ever or at least lately been out.
Use anti-seize upon re-assembly.
Your problem as it stands, maybe drill oversize and re-tap.

cut off the head of a bolt and supper glue it on the tin, not the right way but then at least it wont drive you crazy Me myself Id drill and tap
