Default Top Softail motor mount??

Hey guys, this could be nothing, but took the tank off of my '96 heritage and has a look at the motor mount and something just doesn't look right?
only has the bike a few months and I'm slowly fixing up all the little things and upgrading pistons and cam etc.

Is the top motor mount missing a stud or something?

Thanks for any advice. No bashing, this is my first evo rebuild. 😁

Left side

Right side?

Looks right, according to what I can see. Confirm by checking on Ronnies parts website, where you can see details like that - look for the 'CYLINDERS W/ HEADS AND VALVES' section.

Your top mount is correct.
If you take that bolt out you will find it's screwed into a rectangular block of metal that just sits inside the frame.

Thanks guys, are you talking about this bolt here? So it's correct just sitting there as it is?

As Graham and THC said, that is correct.

Look at item 14 in the illustration.

If you were missing detail 14, you would also be missing the bolt.

Yes, see that now 😁.... I was wondering what was holding the bolt in place. #14 is hiding inside a small cavity which I didn't see at first.

Thanks again

Must be stressful, what with living upside down all the time, but all is well!
