Question Help from Italy...

Hi, I came across a Heritage 1340 from '94, with 10,000 mls. Beautiful, I have no experience with this model/engine; can anyone give me indications on the strengths and weaknesses of this bike? What should I check more carefully? Can it still be used with satisfaction for medium to long journeys? or better to stay away. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Greetings, Lucio.

Good bike. No real problems. 10K miles is like new. Run it.

Change all the fluids and check the tune.....then ride the hell out of it! It's just barely broke in

Thumbs up

Hi Lucio from the UK and welcome to HDF. What to do with your bike? Buy the genuine factory service manual, service it, fit decent European tyres (I use Avon) and enjoy the ride - at least within Italy for the time being! My wife and I should be in Belgium and France at present, but for the 'pox'! We have family in Northern Italy, currently in lockdown, so not enjoying life at present. I hope you're better off, being further south!

Reliable, easy to work on, pretty much every part that wears out can be replaced. Parts are still pretty easy to find. Ample power and still has the classic Harley sound. Good bike and a good group here to help you keep it that way. YD
