Default 1984 intake manifold bolts

My dad has a 1984 fxr, have a super e carb and manifold that I am wanting to put on the bike. Have everything except for the four manifold flange to head bolts. My question is what size are these for bolts... 3/8-16x what length. Due to the 84-89 years having the compliance intakes and I'm replacing it with the s&s manifold I'm not sure which sized bolts should be used. Online I get the kit option of 84-89 which come with I think 7 bolts (guessing the compliance intakes needed more than 4), 90-94 manifold bolts and 95-99 bolts. Thanks

The S&S complete kit for your dad's bike came with caps head screws. Each side takes 2.

Thing is, whoever installed the manifold before my dad purchasing the bike either didn't install the bolts or they vibrated out somehow. I took it for a ride yesterday to check everything over. Looked down and saw the flanges flopping around missing the bolts. It still runs good somehow seeing as there is obviously a ton of air leakage around the flanges

Those are for the oem compliance manifold, are they still the correct ones for the metal s&s manifold??

Manifold & insulator block thickness plus depth of threaded hole without bottoming out.
Many consider a minimum of 4-5 threads.
Measure.

Are you sure about this?
I don't remember either of my kits coming with new flange bolts.
Then again it's been a while since I bought them so you may be right.

If I were you I'd get new cap head bolts for use with the S&S stuff.

IIRC I just used the flange bolts that came on my bike.
If Doc is right then use the ones in the kit if he isn't get some bolts to match the hex head you have but get them with a cap head instead of hex.
I hope this helps.
