Don, are there a lot of added on electrical items on the bike, lights, electric door locks, electric windows etc?
I don`t have a wiring diagram for that year/model...

you can go to this website they have lots of service and repair manuals for free to look at, no adware or viruses, I use to often

Mine looked much the same when I bought it. After tracing the multitudes of the po's "repairs" I have no idea the objective he was trying to achieve. I had marr connectors, scotch loks, twisted wire and electrical tape, and added on splices to circuits that had nothing to do with each other. It was a mess. I bought the factory service manual and I can't stress enough the importance of getting one. Haynes and Clymer are too generic as another member said.

This is what I refer to as "a witches nightmare" and the old timers in the mountains would say - "whoever did that should be whipped with a knotted plow line."
Last time I got into a chopper that looked like that, I sat down with a couple (100') rolls of wire and 3 boxes of terminals, remade a harness from scratch.
You might be best served to get it to "pass" and bring it home, rip most if not all of it off and start over...

Its not bootlegged!!!!!!, you can look at the manuals but cant download them!!, same thing as people taking pics of their manuals and posting them here to look at!!!

Ebay search will find your Factory service manual, in varying conditions. Used in good condition for my 98 Ultra was 90$. It's been used a lot since I bought it and worth every penny. Do it all yourself. Ken
