Default weak dash lites

I have a 97' FLSTC. I can hardly read the dash light bar under the speedometer at all. The light looks very weak. I suppose after many years the plastic lenses could have gotten cloudy. Or maybe a higher watt bulb would work? I would appreciate any advice on this. Thanks in advance.

If you're talking about your oil light high beam light and directionals that are underneath the speedometer there all the indicator lights The best thing to do is to get the T5 LED replacements They were great I put them in mine and they're pretty awesome get rid of the old bulbs..

A friend of mine cured that very problem by switching out the bulbs with LED's from Super Bright LED's.
I don't know which particular bulbs he used though.

Do those just replace the old bulb plug and play?

First make sure the ground is solid because they use the frame for ground and not a seperate wire.
Then go LED, that's what I did too. Superbrite LED is where I got mine.
I also did the tach, and speedo, Red. White and Blue.
The blue for the high beam is bright and a little annoying.

Cool

Those little bulbs go dark over time, so direct replacements would probably also work, if you don't want to be dazzled by LEDs!
