I put the pressures back down and it's better. Will do the alignment and the bushings. Thank you all. Did I mention that the cruse control worked. Man that's cool.
Update and question. I have done all of your suggestions but replacing the swing arm bushings. The wag has moved from 45MPH to almost 70. I ordered a set of Drag Specialties swing arm bushings. Are they as good as HD or should I cancel the order and get the HD ones? Again. Thank you all. Mountainkowboy's post and picts. was spot on. I can not move my swing arm by hand either.

you made a tool to align the pivot to the rear axle. then used string to align to the front wheel ?

DS does have good quality parts and I trust them for most aftermarket parts. But just my preference, I use only OEM when it involves rubber parts. Learned the hard way on countless other cars/trucks/bikes over the years, aftermarket (rubber) parts are seldom, if ever, in the same class of quality material of OEM.
If you're going to do the pivot bushings, most will recommend the bearing retrofit kit. Bearing kits are much easier to install correctly over the factory type bushings and are the "last time ever" you'll have to deal with it. Never used the nylon type bushing, but many guys have with good results. Just did a '95 Road King w/45K miles. The original bushings looked like new and the isolators weren't bad at all. But it was wobbling in a bumpy curve. It's like being on a rail now...
