IIRC I used a 3/8's ratchet on the 89......fit perfect and locked it right up.

The turnbuckle would work pretty good too, the right size should be 1/4-20, so the rounded part of the loop should fit in the teeth pretty close.....just loosen it up till it's tight against the teeth.

Either way I started makin mine.

Hell how would you use a turnbuckle to lock your primary???
You use a turnbuckle because it works well and is cheap. You just expand it out until the eye ends lock in the sprockets, then crank away at the compensator and clutch hub. You, of course, need a large turnbuckle. That's how I used to do it before I got an air compressor and a rattle gun.

I just use a piece of 1x2 wood angled between compensator teeth and primary teeth
