Default Recently picked up a 1995 tour glide

...and I have a question!

I changed grips and lost headlights/running lights. Brake switch is intact and operational. No pinched wires in housing. Brake light works, signals work, speedo cluster works.
I'm an old guy, this is by far the newest bike I've owned in a while and yes I've downloaded a service manual.

My question is this - is there a fuse/breaker/relay that controls just the headlight/running lights? If so where is it?

Couldnt find anything in manual or the mighty interwebs.

You have a mix of circuit breakers and fuses, it seems, although I'm not familiar with your model. The CBs are in the fairing and the fuses under the left side cover IIRC.

Your downloaded manual rings alarm bells for two reasons: genuine Harley factory service manuals are not available as downloads, so you either have an illegal copy (which breaks copywrite laws); or an aftermarket one, none of which are very satisfactory.

Yeah, you're busted! Thirty days in the electric chair for you. Lol

Fuses and such are under the left side cover. It has a main breaker. Brake lights, indicator lights, gauges run off the accessory circuit. Lights and ignition each have their own circuits.

Here is a link to the Official HD Portal on which you have to enter your VIN. It has parts manuals, wiring diagrams, owners manuals, etc

And post photos of your new bike... we "might" have your sentence reduced in return

Really was just playin round with y'all, this bike is stripped down and barely resembles the ultra classic tour glide it left the factory as. Its had alot of hands in it in 25 yrs, nothing bad and mostly nice work. Its local and I knew most the history before I bought it.
Anyway, nothing under left side cover. Found short in fuse block nicely mounted and tucked under fairing.

Turns out it wasnt my doing after all.

Thanks for the replies
