Default Ignition Switch Help!

Hello all, I ride a 1996 FXDS Dyna Convertible. I went for a long ride yesterday and now when I turn the ignition to on and power on the bike, when I press the start button, there is a loud click and all the electrics shut off. If I jiggle the ignition switch connector (which jiggles the ignition switch as well), the electronics come back on line, but there is the loud click again and they shut off when I press the start button. I checked all of the connections and the wires in the connectors and everything seems secure, nothing loose that I can see. Does anyone know what's going on here? Do I need a new ignition switch? Thank you!

Here is a video of the problem:

Any chance that when you wiggle the wires, a battery cable is moved also?

It looks like a loose battery cable, or a dead battery.

Read the voltage across the battery posts with your voltmeter.

Don`t go out and start buying parts......

@Dan89FLSTC I checked and it wasn't jiggling the battery cable. The battery cables were both secure. I have to go get my voltmeter from a friend I lent it to..I'll report back with the findings. Thank you!
