Those Supertrapp end caps need annual maintenance.. Every winter I take them out clean them and never seize the bolts.. If you do you'll never have an issue. You got to remember with carbon building up in there along with moisture you'll get rust.. If you take care of them it won't be an issue..

I bought them a month and a half ago, seriously, they’re not what they used to be.

What's been said about a Thunderheader is spot on.
I have one on the Lowrider & really like it for performance & sound.
You have to understand my background with shovels & pans & always ran drag pipes so quiet is not an option.
Supertrapp always peaked my interest with performance but just didn't have the sound I was listening for.
Never ran one but have heard a few over the years.
Good luck with your choice.

Ride Safe,
Harold

Yes sir Harold, pretty spot on, I'm also putting together something old with something new look so I really don't know where the hell I'm at with this one. My riding group say they hear the White Bike over their's going down the road so I really don't know why sound will bother me, looked at so many mufflers don't need a description anymore.

Yea, have looked at the RB racing exhaust as mentioned, they make it for the bike I'm building but don't clear the bags and wanting to keep the costs down using the true dual pipes on the bike at purchase, exhausts got stupid in price. Kinda in the middle of jet coating the old TD's if keeping the costs down on mufflers, like mentioned have a vision of direction, just don't want to overspend on this project

I had LSR 2-1 on my Sportster. Cracked from rear O2 sensor bung weld and completely around the rear pipe to the collector. Tech support was basically "bite me". 7500 miles. I would stay from them.

I had an LSR for my fat boy C style, and something happened to the finish. It was like all pigmented and it was very difficult to get them to warranty it.. The thing was brand new and they finally did it but weld wise I've never had any issues and it's a great pipe for sound and above 3,200 RPM... The LSR is really not made for touring or anything like that... It is a high performance pipe that kills the low end..

Came across a set of used stainless Vance and Hines mufflers that can make work on the older bagger build, like the the vintage look. Baffles are for bigger engines but can do some baffle mods since they will be like the older Pro Pipes and a easy inlet mod to get some back pressure.
