Default Stock carb jets?

Just pulled my carb off of my 95 FB. Air mixture cap is still intact but the jets are 48 & 165. Are these stock? A couple of the float bowl screws show they’ve been removed in the past.

thanks, T4

The 165 sounds about right but the low jet would have been a 42 or 45 from the factory.

Thanks T150. I ordered a 45 & 180. Also have the 88 sportster needle coming. I’m running the stock header pipes with after market slip ons and the Screamin Eagle intake w/k&n. The jets and needle Should help her out a little.

Someone probably went with a 48 to either mask or overcome an intake leak and/or avoid removing the idle mixture plug for the open mufflers. I'd recommend drilling it out if you already have the carb off.

With a stock cam, open mufflers and open intake 180/45 is plenty big. Don't lose your stock needle as they're getting hard to come by.

Yes 42 and 165 factory, But I don't know why some one would change the low to a 48 with out adjusting the idle air mixture screw? not smart

I bought the needle and jets from CV Performance. They say it’s the same taper, I hope it’s close.

I bought the same needle from CV Performance, it worked well, I have now switched it for their performance needle which also works well

+1 on CV Performance. Seem like good guys. Any time I've needed carb parts, I've gone there. No complaints.
