Default Springer Lowering Kit. (BURLY)

Doing winter stuff to my 99 Softail & new Progressive shocks are going on my list.
I read somewhere that when you lower the rear, the front needs to be lowered, also.
I found these that would work.
Anyone have any experience , good/bad ?
Or does the front have to be lowered to keep the tracking of the bike correct?
Dyna rider trying to find his way around a Softail.

Don't know the rules or comparison of bagger to light bike BUT ran the white bike with 1" shorter Progressives for 12 years with no more than a lowered front fender, didn't notice any issues with steering. Installed 1" lower Ricor's with another 1" sag for set up, still didn't see any steering issue, would put the ride up against my TC Roadglide after the Ricor install. Installed a 1" lowering spring set up in the front during the rebuild from the wreck, the dam thing rides like a hay wagon now, not so sure it was a good idea.

Hope you get your situation under control, 1997bagger.
What info I’ve gotten so far is leading me to leave the pre-adjusted shocks
at 1”, extended, & go from there & leave the front alone.
Gotta start somewhere.

Ride Safe,
Harold

Yeah, good plan.
Have synthetic ATF in the front end, believe is's equal to 10w, can only try 5w or put softer springs back in, warning label on the instructions said lowered front springs are for show bikes, not comprehending has it's failures lol.

lowered the *** end of my fat boy last summer 2 inches , rode her till weather permitted.. rode fine handled well
i just did the front drop ins a month back just to lvl it out and cause i went with a 21 front rim and tire
you really dont have to lower the front if you dont want too i didnt notice a difference with just the rear done
