I happily stand corrected. After my previous post on this thread, my memory cleared long enough for me to remember that My 1985 HD motorcycle is the FXRS-SP , which came from the factory with longer shocks and dual-disc front brakes.

Man Craig, that is beautiful! I sure wish my paint looked that good! It ought to be fun matching the factory colors if I decide to re-paint some day.

Thanks! Yeah overall the paint was in pretty decent shape for its age after I cleaned it up when I got it. The front fender was dinged up/scratched a bit on the front end not shown in the pic. I had a new fender that I was going to attempt a paint match on when I sold the bike and gave it to the new owner. It appears to be kind of rare as most of the ones I've seen are the same scheme but with the red and silver rather than the purple color. A friend of mine has the same year FXRT with the red and silver combo. I sold my '84 to get my hot rodded '90 FXRP but it was a cool bike! Every time I look at that pic I wish I still had it!! Yours looks very original...KEEP IT THAT WAY lol!
