"I got drunk with my bike last night". Classic right there. Enjoy stroking her paint my friend, she is yours now.
That sounds like the beginning of a country and western song right there.
IA, don't rush it, do the PT and take your time. Know your limitations. After I had my bicep tendon repaired, at my last session (Aug) the therapist asked me if I was going to ride my bike. I kinda smiled and told him was leaving for Sturgis in the morning. He shook his head and said if it starts to fall over - let it go. I was feeling strong but the fatigue wore me down and I did almost have to let it fall over, I was lucky my legs were in a good position, I knew I had crossed the line and was very concious of my decisions after that.
All I'm trying to say it be careful, go slow and know your "recovered ability" before you find yourself in a situation where you have to find your limits. You might re-injure yourself and damage the bike. Post pics as you get the bike the way you want it.

Words of wisdom right there I did the same thing after my bicep tendon repair about 14 years ago. Since then, I listen the experts. I don't anticipate riding again for at least 3 months. I'm not even going to remove the air cleaner until my doc says it's OK to use my right arm.

Smart... My second surgery on my right shoulder didn't take.. Now I have to have the entire shoulder replaced... Not a good thing... Trying to prolong it for as long as I can... Cause I hear once you go there your down 50% usage at a minimum...
I believe the lever you speak of is the choke. An accelerator pump gives a squirt of fuel if you crack the throttle. At least that’s the way I remember it. Of course I could be wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time.
PS. Mine does have the lever so if what you said is correct, it must be an E.
Glad you’re on the mend. Long time coming. You’re probably right about the lever. Its been awhile since i’ve messed with either the B or E.
yup you got super E. Love S&S carbs, specially the super E. Had one on my ‘83 FL. Gave son the ‘83. Thats him in the picture. I’ve had both super B and super E.
I prefer super E carb over EFI. Pros and cons about both. Personal choice.
my sons a painter so i had crossed paint brushes and skull painted on his tanks, lol!
IA...the super B has a small looking T top gizmo you lift up and twist so it stays up. The super E has a lever thats about inch, inch and a half long that you lift up and it stays up until bike warm and you push it down. Picture below is super E lever.
the picture below is the super B choke lever

I'm really sorry to hear that and wish you the best of luck. The story behind this is long and involved and actually may go into litigation depending on the final outcome of this most recent surgery. That said, I asked my original surgeon (the one that put me back together in the hospital after the accident) about a replacement and he didn't even want to discuss it.
