Angry Exhaust Tip MIA

So I'm off today and was going to meet my wife for lunch, figured what the hell I'll cruise on the bike. So as I'm cruising down loop 410 in San Antonio, I hear something clanking down the highway. I look back and see some metal piece bouncing around the road, wondering did that come off my bike? I'm looking around and see all all of my shiny pieces in place but figured I'd pull off the next exit and check. Sure enough, that metal piece turned out to be one of the exhaust tips on my Vance and Hines Big Shots...I cruised back around several times but had no luck finding it...

So now I'm missing one of my tips and I think it looks awkward. Called Vance and Hines and it will cost close to $100 to replace the tip! Y'all know anywhere else I could possibly find a replacement?

I don't know where to get one but might suggest removing the other one so they are the same and decide whether you want to replace the missing one at some point or get used to the "new" straight look.

I got no solution, but it reminds me of a slip on muffler that fell off my first Super Glide. I didn't hear it clang to the pavement over the noise and I was able to find it easliy after I turned around. I laugh now, but it wasn't so funny then. I feel your pain.

I tried that, but the screw holding the other tip in is so tight it stripped the head....so that limits my options....

Drill it out.

To tell you the truth, though, it doesn't look bad to me, for what it's worth.

Before drilling it out...

look to see if there is a nut you can access on the inside of the pipe. If you can loosen the nut first, the screw may come out then.
