Not the right screw for the warm idle, you have to take the backing plate off the air cleaner to gain access.

Yea....the cold idle set screw is up top and the hot idle screw is lower right hand corner of the throttle body.

The set screw isn’t always an Allen either....lots are Torx.

Harley went through several idle setting procedures before dumping that system in 2001. Of course, some have their own way of setting the idle. I finally settled on the 2001 way.....it stays that way longer I my opinion.

My opinion.....confirm the TPS is set correctly. If the screws are still filled with glue, chances are it’s set right. Definitely worth checking. There’s a great YouTube video showing the TPS adjust.

I have stage I on mine so my backing plate is aluminum. I drilled a hole in it so I can adjust the hot idle without removal.

Yes sir, used the gasket for a template to drill the hole, also noticed engine idle would drop 100 rpms when putting the air filter back in.

I never noticed a change in rpm on mine with the air filter going on but then I think my tach isn't all that great.

With the factory air filter and the factory backing plate....I did notice a difference in RPM.

With the SE air filter and their backplate....my RPM stayed the same after resetting the idle.
