Default Cleaning her up!

Hey Brothers, I'm looking for a little advice.

I've got my 1992 Electra Glide Sport's engine apart down to the base gaskets. While She's apart, is there anything I can do as far as cleaning or maintenance that an old Evo should have done? Not really getting into decking heads and boring out cylinders and all. Just wondering if I can get anything done that would ensure I don't have to get back to this point any time soon.

I would suggest new rings, hone the cylinders have the machine shop clean up the heads and install new valve seals.May want to replace the lifters.Use Cometic gasket top end kit,( mine came w/valve seals). And you’ll need tappet gaskets if you replace the lifters. You asked.

Assuming the mileage was correct on the Police speedo, scuff cylinders with a ball hone (240-260), new Hastings rings, lap the valves or have a valve job done at a shop, new valves seals and enjoy the ride.

Was behind on my typing... yeah, new cam bearing and lifters if the budget allows.

Guy who I bought it from said those numbers were right. Definitely a part of why I got the bike, lol!
