Old FL seat

This seat appeared at a local second hand store. Anyone have an idea what it is off? It's got me intrigued being suspended on springs.

It was called a "Comfort Flex seat"

That is for a 4 speed Shovel frame (not FLT), note the twin tabs in the front to attach to the pogo seat plunger. Later version the pogo connection is eliminated. And yes, called a Comfort Flex Seat, I would guess late 70's. Also called a bear trap due to the function of the mechanism, keep your fingers clear!!!

Look them up on the Bay, all over in different conditions and prices. Not worth much, most guys took them off. Lots of them available at swaps and such.

Cool find at an unrelated location.

Yup, had one just like it on my 79 FLH POS, except in brown. I put the pogo stick in the frame so it was "double" sprung.

I have the one that came on my 82 FLH hanging on the wall in my garage. Might be worth something some day like a ham can or a stock 2-1 exhaust. Doubtful.
