Year and modal of bike? Make sure battery is fully charged, make sure the wires are connected correctly on starter and not touching each other, test to make sure you only have power on small starter wire when starter button is pushed

thanks for the reply! I actually took the selanoid apart and it was stuck. I sanded the copper washer down, put it back together and now it works. 😁

That's real strange that your new All ***** starter would already have worn down solenoid contacts. I would keep an eye on that, especially if it's still under warranty. I've had start run-on before and it's not fun. I thought it was a weak battery, but in the end it was the solenoid internals, not he contacts. My solenoid went bad, and changing out contacts and plunger didn't fix the issue. That's why you should keep any eye on that, because you don't want to fix the symptom and still have the problem.
