Default CV carb bracket install issue?

I ordered a carb support bracket from TCbros for my 1999 Fatboy. Nice piece. How ever when I was mock fitting in I noticed there’s a gap between the carb and the bracket. Pictured below.

Ended up using a plate off of the air cleaner that was installed on filter backplate to fill in the gap with a gasket on each side so now it goes like this starting at carb...

Carb>Gasket>Plate>Gasket>bracket>gasket> filter backplate.

excessive?

Bracket installed against the head. ~1/8” gap.

How fresh is your intake gasket? (The one that joins the carb to the intake manifold)

The output from the carb just slides in. There's a lot of wiggle room to it

Brand new. Replaced all gaskets. yea if i wouldn’t have used that plate to fill gap the carb would damn near pop out to be flush with bracket.
