Default Electrical Problem

Went to start my 98 Fatboy a few minutes ago, turned on the switch, pressed the starter button, a click down below somewhere and then nothing.
No lights, no horn, no nuthin. My test meter says the battery has 12.6 volts. I checked battery cables they're tight. Tested the 4 fuses they're not blown.
Any ideas?

I would start by checking the starter relay. Also, check if you are getting 12v to the starter solenoid trigger wire when pushing starter button.

solenoid and/or battery ... IIRC 12.6v is on the low side of being charged ... and it's not how much voltage you have on a sitting battery, it's about how much voltage you have when the button is pushed ... dropping below 11v is not enough to start the bike

Remove battery and take it to a shop for testing.
How old is battery?

Hey Ken. Yeah, what's the voltage on the battery when you push the start button?

Relay or solenoid will not cause "No lights, no horn, no nuthin"...

Remove the battery, charge it and have it load tested.

Clean all battery cable connection points while battery is out (don`t just make sure they are tight, remove cables and clean the connection points).

Until you know that the battery is good, you can`t properly troubleshoot.

Once a connection comes loose and oxygen gets to it oxidation occurs that can cause a high resistance joint.

Default Thanks

I'm going to pull the 2 years old battery, then clean and charge it and go from there.

I had problems with my FLSTC Ignition Switch.
When switching on, nothing worked.
Had to take it apart and clean out old grease and gunk.
Put it together again and everything worked again.
