Default Evo Compensator...

Hey Guys, I picked up my 96" motor last night and decided I wanted to replace the original compensator. It's a 24 tooth (I know it's supposed to be a 25 tooth for a 98) with over 50k miles plus the motor yields 110-115 lbs of torque and I want something that candle handle the power without any issues.. Looking online I couldn't find anything for our older bikes.. Your advice would be appreciated... Thanks bob

During my recent trans issues (which I will get back to eventually) I was really impressed with Andrews.

Called them on the phone. The girl who answered immediately transferred me to a guy who actually knew his stuff. Not one of those guys who can't do anything but read the catalog to you.

Anyway, I'd call them and see what they say.

Fwit I'm still running my sock compensator with the 111 motor.
No problems so far and it runs 120/120.

Andrews doesn't make a compensator.

Wow, looks like not much going on in the Evo/EarleyTC compensator area, I got lucky and found a new discontinued Rivera 3.36 compensator and clutch basket kit years ago. I'll keep searching, crap load of China stuff out there, your current Harley OEM will hold, just would be nice to have a new one for peace of mind.

I ran the stock comp. on my '88 fxr for about 4k miles with no issues until I updated my trans. Now I have the comp. eliminator sprocket and really can't tell the difference in normal riding. People have said they buck at lower rpm but I haven't really felt anything crazy. My motor makes a decent amount so a little bucking at low rpm (2k rpm) is expected. FWIW I'd look into that, I'm glad I did and seems like less parts to break.

On a stock motor I'm sure but would it last with twice the hp as stock?
