Custom paint question
Not saying you're not keeping the bike but not much else makes me run faster from a used bike than the words "fresh paint" lol...
Paint it? Heck no...I know were miles away and looking at a single picture but the bike looks great. Buy beer and chicken wings instead.

I would keep it as is. If in real life or up close there are blemishes or just signs of age, you would be surprised what a professional detailed can do to a finish.
But if you want to repaint and want a different color, don’t go black. There are way too many black bikes. Yes my bike is black, but that’s a long story.
A road king isn’t well suited for over the top outrageous paint jobs like you see on choppers or softail customs, and similar bikes. They look better with a classic paint scheme that looks like something from the 1950’s. A lot of times a cream or birch white is combined with a classic color that isn’t metallic or pearl or other special effects. Instead a more old fashioned looking paint job and retro tank badges compliment a road king well.
Whatever you do, don’t go with one of those ridiculous denim paints. They look like primer and are not durable at all.
