Aloha,
the only option you have is looking on eBay or similar platforms.
The early eighties are different to the early nineties up to 95.
Keep this in mind.
Was thinking I could take the later ones and just redrill the holes in the wings to match the fairing. It looks like the shape of them are the same, just the hole location is wrong. But I haven’t had them side by side so the fairing shape may be different.

If youre just needing the outer fairing .I would search for the right one that fits to alleviate the drilling, fitting .modifications.
But, if youre wanting the 1996- outer fairing. It would probably work with drilling holes and adding/modifying brackets to your inner fairing. Could be a lot of work and still never look right.
Few years ago, we took a 1993 Electra Glide and installed the 1996- inner/outer fairing plus all the needed brackets. It was time consuming, but looked completely stock when we finished. The entire setup was bought in one piece including the gauges on Ebay for around $350. We had to locate different wiring connectors and missing bolts separately. At the same time, we converted it to the 1996- switches/housing.
There very different and new on old would look horrible if you could make it work.
The early fairings have 4 studs the slip over mounting brackets and the fairing goes completely under the headlight. OP your best options are repair the damaged one, find a direct replacement or swap the inner and outer to a late model style. Check with Pinwall cycle salvage, I've never been disappointed with anything I've purchased from them - they're not the cheapest prices but you won't get any ugly surprises. Swapping to a late model means gauges and wiring challenges, I'm not sure that you could get your mechanical speedo drive to operate the cruise control. I believe '96 (maybe '97) models still had a mechanical drive speedo before the upgrade to electronic.

We actually used the parts off of a 1999 model as they were still mechanical. The inner fairing had minor changes through the years starting in 2000 with notches in the speedo/tach housing and then again in 2006 for the HK radio. The last of that style also didnt have holes for throttle cables as they were fly by wire. Wind deflectors changed around 2010 also.
That inner fairing style looks good .but most are fully aware of the usual broken fairing brackets. Easy fix though. Not to mention the weak threaded inserts in the inner fairing that can leave you cussing.
Point is ..that style of inner fairing is interchangeable as those are small things to overcome. Just beware of the weak points if swapping is on the mind.
Daaang so did I. I believe its the small wings on the side of the fairing now. Oops
Lol. Ya, just the small wings under the fairing. They have three screws to hold them on. Do you guys know if the curve of the batwing where they fit is generally the same from pre to post 96. I know they are different but thought maybe the shape of that curve is close and I could modify some wings to fit mine.
