Default '98 Dyna Low Rider Vibration

Good morning all, new here to this forum so please bear with me if this has been asked a million times before. I just purchased a very, very nice 1998 Dyna Low Rider from the original owner. It has 45,000 miles on it and is a bit cold blooded when starting it; however, once she warms up, she runs great. The one thing that I have noticed is that when I let off the gas and the bike decelerates to between 1,800 - 2,000 RPMs, there is a noticeable vibration that I feel up through the seat. Once I pull in the clutch or start accelerating again, it goes away. From the little bit I've researched into this, it sounds like the motor mounts may need to be replaced? Been riding all my life but am new to Harleys so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This was my front isolator

See that gap? Should not be there.

Here is a comparison between bad and good:

Someone on this fantastic forum sendt me the following picture:

Bad to the left
Good to the right.

Replace the front and the rear mounts. The front breaks down faster but a failing rear mount will feel like increased vibration to the back end. They are old, it's time to change them. Then look up how to do engine alignment in the factory manual.

Do a search about the mounts. There are posts showing how an oil filter change gets oil on the rubber mount which makes the mount break down faster. Also methods on how to prevent this.

I had a great result using the Drag Specialties one on my 2007 FXDL. Some may recommend the Predator as a more expensive solution, but for a simple swap, Drag Specialties will get you there.
