The closer you keep the bike to stock, the more it's going to be worth. Most of the FXR's in the Bay Area have been bro'ed out and they are still going for crazy money. The bro look will come and go but a stock FXR will always be cool.

Only original once, but... it's your bike. who cares? Would the world be that worse off with one less original 1985 Harley? I'm sure most of you will disagree, but I don't see the value in an old original motorcycle. On the other hand, my bike, that I've changed to better suit me..

Whatever floats your boat dude. But I think I speak with a majority of readers on this forum who either have, or would love to have an original "Old Harley", not some modded out MC in a previous owners idea of what a bike should look like. An original bike is also easier to sell, and commands more dollars. So for the people who like to buy and sell different bikes on a regular basis, an "original" makes more sense.

I know this is a year old thread but most of you guys called it right. Leave it as close to stock as possible. I have #168 of 1075. I find myself thinking of modifying and then come to my senses. I love my candy glide.
